Point Cook dancer Hannah Bradsworth has invited everyone in Wyndham to join her for the Big Dance Festival, to be held next month.

Big Dance will be held across the nation on International Dance Day, April 29, when thousands of people around the world will join together to dance in iconic locations, including Federation Square in Melbourne.

In the lead-up to the event, Ausdance Victoria – with the support of Wyndham council – will be hosting a series of free workshops to help people learn the steps to the dance.

The five-minute contemporary indigenous routine has been choreographed to suit people with a variety of capabilities and circumstances, including those who would like to perform standing or seated.

Ms Bradsworth, 29, said anyone could join in the Big Dance Festival.

A member of the Wild@Heart hip hop dance crew Inkrewsive, Ms Bradsworth will be helping out during some of the Wyndham dance sessions.

She has been dancing since the age of five, and is also an actor and ambassador with theatre company Rawcus.

The Big Dance workshops will be held at the Saltwater Community Centre and Featherbrook Community Centre in Point Cook, and the Penrose Community Centre in Tarneit, between Tuesday, April 3 and Friday April 6.
