Emmanuel Bajur could be the next big thing in boxing.

The 15-year-old from Tarneit smashed his first appearance in the ring last month walking away two-for-two at a super bantamweight fight night in Essendon.

His coach Dave Preston said Emmanuel had only been training for nine months before the bout.

Preston said the teen showed dedication, good work ethic and heart.

“He stepped into the ring for his first boxing match taking home a win by points,” Preston said.

“He came off with a smile on his face and adrenaline to keep going … He then took up an offer for another fight on the same night and walked away with a split-point decision.

“Rain, hail or shine, this kid will catch the bus, train and walk all the way to training. He works hard and you can see he’s going to go all the way.

“This young, up-and-coming fighter will go a very long way.”

Emmanuel is training for another fight this month and has set a goal to become a state champion.
