Nam Cao says he is looking forward to spending Father’s Day with his family.
While Father’s Day is not traditionally celebrated in Vietnam, his parents’ country of origin, Mr Cao is planning on having a meal at home with his wife Chi and their children, seven-year-old William and four-year-old Anna on Sunday.
“All the days in Vietnam are for women and kids, so it’s a good thing men get one here in Australia,” he joked.
The Hoppers Crossing resident said his children inspired him to work hard, so he could help to support them.
“With me, even with small things from the kids or family, everything makes me happy,” he said.
“When I come back from work and get to the front door, the kids know the time I get home and they scream, ‘daddy, daddy, daddy,’ and that makes me happy.”
