Wyndham residents have recorded the sixth-highest number of active COVID-19 cases in the state.
There are now 22 active cases of the coronavirus which have been diagnosed in Wyndham residents, compared to yesterday’s total of 17 active cases.
Municipalities with more active cases than Wyndham are: Hume (85 active cases), Brimbank (49 active cases), Melbourne (29 active cases), Moreland (32 active cases) and Moonee Valley (32 active cases).
As of today, Wyndham residents have been diagnosed with a total of 81 cases of the virus.
Two of the new cases have been linked to Al-Taqwa College in Truganina, including a teacher, bringing the total number of cases linked to the school to 15.
Today, the total number of coronavirus cases in Victoria has reached 2303, with 77 new cases reported yesterday.
Thirteen new cases have been linked to known outbreaks, 37 new cases have been identified through routine testing and 27 cases are under investigation.
There have been 332 confirmed cases of coronavirus in Victoria that have been acquired through unknown transmission. There are currently 415 active cases in Victoria.
Currently, 20 people with coronavirus infections are in hospital, including four patients in intensive care.
