Car boot sale

E-youth project is recruiting

The e-Youth project is recruiting 60 young people to study for a certificate II in information, digital media and technology in 2019 through Victoria University Polytechnic and Wyndham council. An information evening will be held on November 7 from 6.30-7.30pm at the Victoria University Werribee campus.

Community Welcome Dinner

Get to know your neighbours at the next Community Welcome Dinner, which will celebrate the International Day for Tolerance on November 10 from 6-9pm at Penrose Community Centre, 83 Penrose Promenade, Tarneit. Welcome Dinners are free events. Bring a plate of food to share from your culture. Spaces are limited.

Wyndham multifaith dinner

The Wyndham Interfaith Network will host the 2018 Wyndham Multifaith Dinner on November 7 from 6.15pm at Encore Events Centre, 80 Derrimut Road, Hoppers Crossing. Tickets are $20 per person.
This is an alcohol free event. Aboriginal
and Torres Strait Islander musician Jessie Lloyd will provide the keynote address.

Mini fete

Head down to Mercy Place Wyndham, 39 Deutgam Street, Werribee, on November 24 from 10am-3pm and enjoy a mini fete featuring a barbecue, plant stall, craft and cake stalls, Devonshire tea, books, white elephant stall and raffle.

Plasma donors needed

The Werribee Blood Donor Centre needs 500 more people to donate plasma in the next four weeks. Plasma can be used in 18 different life-giving ways and with demand for this powerful component of blood growing every year, donations are always needed.

Join the choir

Residents can join the Bridge Community Choir as it starts to prepare carols for the Christmas period. The all-ages, all-abilities choir meets weekly at the Werribee Baptist Church (opposite Werribee Pacific Plaza) on Mondays from 7.30-9pm.

Werribee Craft Festival

The Werribee Craft Festival will celebrate its 40th year with its biggest event yet. More than 100 stalls will showcase handmade goods, and there will be food stalls and children’s activities. From 9am-4pm on November 10-11 at the Encore Events Centre, 80 Derrimut Road, Hoppers Crossing. Entry is free.

Bowling with babies

Mums and bubs get together each Friday from 10am-1.30pm at Werribee Bowls Club, Chirnside Park, 237 Watton Street, to socialise and have fun games of indoor bowls. Mums’ groups are very welcome.
