Fun run

Entries are open for MyPhysio Werribee Mansion Run on May 3. The event caters for all levels of fitness and all members of the family and includes 11 kilometre and 5.5 kilometre courses, a 3.5 kilometre run/walk and a 1.2 kilometre dash for children. Entry prices start at $15 and increase to $35 for the 5.5 and 11 kilometre events.

Community race day

Celebrate the contribution that clubs make to the community at the Werribee Racing Club community clubs race day on Friday, from 11am. The meeting is an opportunity for clubs throughout the region to come together and enjoy a day trackside.

Anzac march

Mark the 100th anniversary of the landing of troops at Gallipoli at Werribee’s annual Anzac march from 2pm on Sunday. The march will start at the Cultural Centre in Watton Street and proceed to the cenotaph at Station Place. It will be followed by a wreath-laying ceremony.

Comedy roadshow

Be prepared for laughs aplenty when the Melbourne Comedy Festival Roadshow arrives in Wyndham on April 25. Comedians Bob Franklin, Tom Ballard, Greg Behrendt and David Quick will be among those taking to the stage at the Wyndham Cultural Centre from 8pm. Tickets cost $33 for adults, $19 for under 25s and $15 for school children. Concession cardholders and groups of 10 or more can book tickets for $25 each.

Discover your past

Research your ancestors and connect with other like-minded people at family history group sessions at the Plaza library on the last Saturday of the month between 10am and noon and Wyndham Vale library on Mondays. Sessions are free.

Fix it, for free

If it needs to be screwed, glued, nailed or welded, bring it to Werribee Men’s Shed, open every second Saturday of the month. It’s free and there’s no need to book. If the item is too large to fit in a car, call James. Meet at the shed at Wyndham Park Community Centre, 55-57 Kookaburra Avenue, Werribee 10am to noon.

Learn Maltese

Maltese classes are held at Kelly Park Community Centre, Synnot Street, Werribee, every Monday, 6.30-8.30pm. Classes are available for adults and beginners.
