Come to Geelong and see what all the fuss is about!

Geelong has got an events calendar that’s bursting at the seams with more than 20 major events and hundreds of community gatherings every year.

From the monthly makers and growers market lining the waterfront to our next big event – Extravaganza Eat Drink Discover 2014 – there is something happening every weekend.

While you’re in Geelong, there’s great shopping in the city’s centre and must-go-to places for breakfast, lunch or dinner. If you love your latte or macchiato, Geelong is perfect for a coffee crawl – this is a city with lots of hidden café gems.

Did you know we now have free weekend parking?

Mind you, hopping on the train and riding the rails makes visiting Geelong even easier. It’s only a 10-minute walk from Geelong station to the city centre or waterfront.

Extravaganza Eat Drink Discover 2014 is a celebration of the region’s food, wine, produce and culinary talent.

With tastings, master classes, live cooking demonstrations and a kids inter-active garden it will be a great day out.

Extravaganza Eat Drink Discover 2014 will be held on Sunday, July 13.

There will be more than 60 producers showcasing their cheese, bread, olive oil, meats, seafood, sweet indulgences, wine, craft beers and cider in the wonderful surrounds of Deakin Waterfront in the old woolstores.
