Flying high: The Royal Australian Air Force performs the first display of the new air show season, soaring over the RAAF museum in Point Cook Road, Point Cook, from 1pm on Sunday, August 18. The museum and its static display is open seven days a week..

Family history: Experience Family History Week at the Plaza library until Saturday. Workshops from 10.30am-noon Wednesday include researching family history while overseas. From 10.30am-noon on Thursday, you can browse the British newspaper archives; then from 2pm-4pm, Friday, ‘‘look local’’. And from 2pm-4pm Saturday, there’s an antique evaluation session. Theatre: Down to Earth is a play being staged at the Werribee Park historic farm.
