PRIME Minister Julia Gillard joined in last week’s Welcoming the Babies ceremony at Kelly Park Community Centre.
The annual event hosted by Ms Gillard, who is Lalor MP, welcomes Wyndham’s newest residents and provides parents with information and support.
“This event is about recognising the important contribution parents make to our local community,” Ms Gillard said.
More than 50 babies took part in Friday’s ceremony.
