Williamstown, Werribee and Hoppers Crossing get the wins

Williamstown, Werribee and Hoppers Crossing were among the winners in the opening round of the Victorian Sub-District Cricket Association T20 competition.

In the first round of the knock-out competition, teams were pitted against other teams in their local group, with all the west teams going head to head.

The match went down to the final ball, with Hoppers Crossing making 6-128. Justin Goegan (32 not out) led the middle order that got the job done for the Cats.

Werribee and Melton also played out a thriller.
