Werribee Devils sank to an 83-66 loss to Sherbrooke Suns in the Big V basketball men’s championship in Werribee on Saturday.
The Devils could not quieten the Suns’ offence in the third period and suffered the consequences as the visitors ran away with the game.
Jordan Hughes (22 points, nine rebounds, four assists), David Cobb (17 points, 13 rebounds) and Darcy Harding (18 points, six rebounds) had big outings for the Devils.
In women’s division 1, Werribee Devils were scorched 93-65 by the Mildura Heat despite 13 points and nine rebounds to Lydia Brooks.
