Wyndham BMX stars were on show at the recent national championships, with Jordan Morgan claiming two national championships.
Four members of the Warriors squad headed to Tasmania to compete in the championships.
Ava Lazaridis competed in the 14 girls, Renn Beatie in the 30-34 men, Mia Morgan in the 6-year-old sprocket girls and Jordan Morgan in the 30-plus masters men
Jordan Morgan, who is also the club coach, won the masters men and 30-40 men’s age groups.
He said it was pretty special to win the masters men and 30-40 men age groups.
“It was a very rewarding moment for me,” he said.
“After overcoming many injuries over the last few years, I put everything into my preparation leading into the event.
“It was my first national champs since 2018 due to injury. I dedicated my win to my brother in-law and his family who sadly lost his brother the week before.
“This is my fifth national championship win, but feels very different to the others because of the amount of things I had to overcome this time, it was a long road back to winning again.”
Lazaridis, who won a state title earlier this year, made the semi finals but couldn’t continue after a crash in her third race.
Beatie finished 20th overall in his first national championships, while Mia Morgan finished third in sprocket girls.
