Hoppers Crossing tumbled to the bottom of the Bowls Victoria division 2 section 1 ladder after an 80 (14) – 72 (4) loss to Flemington-Kensington on the road on Saturday.
The travelling Hoppers descended to the cellar after last-placed Rosamond managed an upset one-shot win over premiership contender Richmond Union.
It leaves Hoppers with just one win after six matches and 21 points from safety.
Hoppers will host third-last Maribyrnong Park in a must-win game at Pannam Drive on Saturday.
In division 1, Werribee played a draw with Moonee Valley, both finishing on 79 shots.
It was not a win, but the Bees would be content to halt their two-game losing skid.
The Bees, fourth-last with just two wins in seven games, play host to third-placed Essendon at Chirnside Park on Saturday.
