It hasn’t taken Karlene Pircher long to get back to her winning ways.
After taking a break from swimming in 2013, the Laverton 17-year-old returned to the pool this year with immediate success.
She came within a whisker of qualifying for the 200-metre breaststroke at the Glasgow Commonwealth Games but will represent Australia at the 2014 Junior Pan Pacific championships in Hawaii in August.
