Two Wyndham Vale residents have been diagnosed with COVID-19, including one who is associated with Warringa Park School in Hoppers Crossing.

COVID-19 commander Jeroen Weimar said the two people are family members of a Maribyrnong man who was announced as a positive case yesterday.

A confirmed case of COVID-19 at a Werribee school has also led to the campus being closed until further notice.

Heathdale Christian College, which is on Derrimut Road, posted a notice to its Facebook page last night, which said there would be no classes today for students from kindergarten to year 12.

The school has also closed its Melton campus.

“Due to cross-campus contact, any students or staff who were on either campus on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday this week must self-isolate and get tested for COVID-19,” the post said..

“Students and teachers in years 5 and 6 and their households must isolate, get tested and continue to quarantine for 14 days even if they test negative and will be contacted by the public health unit or department.”
