A 20-year-old man was kicked in the face during a robbery in Wyndham last night.
It is one of three robberies within the space of an hour yesterday being investigated by police from Operation Wayward.
Police said three males approached the 20-year-old victim and demanded his belongings about 10.30pm in Whistler Crescent, Point Cook.
One of the males kicked the victim in the face, before the trio fled from the scene.
About 20 minutes later, a 45-year-old man walking along the Federation Trail in Hoppers Crossing, was approached by three males who demanded his belongings.
The man was knocked to the ground and kicked by the offenders before they ran away empty-handed.
Police said the third robbery occurred about 11.15pm, on Palmers Road in Williams Landing.
Three males approached a man, aged in his forties, and demanded his belongings.
After the victim handed over a mobile phone, the three males fled the scene in a dark-coloured hatchback car, which was waiting nearby.
Police believe the three robberies could be linked. In all three incidents, the offenders were described as young African males.
Police said it is not known whether the three robberies are linked to an aggravated home invasion which occurred on November 17 in Wyndham Vale.
