Werribee’s Master Dry Cleaners has reopened at a temporary location, one week after the business was gutted by fire.

The dry cleaners has set up shop at 26 Watton Street in Werribee – at the old ANZ bank site, a short distance from its premises at 61 Watton Street.

“It is business as usual for the store, providing the same great services and customer service,” a post on the businesses Facebook page stated.

A fire broke out at Master Dry Cleaners about 10.30pm on February 4, causing extensive damage to the building and customers’ garments.

Owner David Hudson, whose family has owned and operated dry cleaning stores in Werribee for more than 70 years, has vowed to rebuild.

The family has called on customers who had garments in store prior to February 5 to email details of their order to claims@hudsongroup.com.au, where further details will be provided.

“Sadly, the store has experienced significant internal damage including equipment and garments, meaning that no items dropped of prior to Tuesday 5th February are available for collection at this stage.”

If you have garments in store, please email details of your order to claims@hudsongroup.com.au, where further details will be provided.
