A motorcyclist has died after a collision with a car at Werribee South on Thursday night.

The collision occurred on Duncans Road just after 7pm on June 1.

The 33 year old Werribee South man died at the scene after the motorcycle he was riding collided with a car.

The driver of the car, an 18 year old Werribee man, was unharmed and stopped at the scene to assist.

Emergency services were called but were unable to save the motorcyclist, who is the 13th person to die on Victorian roads in the past week.

Victoria’s road toll now stands at 136 compared to 97 this time last year, an almost 40 per cent increase and the highest total to this point of the calendar year since 2019.

Police are still investigating the events leading up to this latest fatality and are yet to determine the exact cause of the collision.
