Werribee Mercy fair full of fun

Thousands of people got into the festive spirit at the weekend when Werribee Mercy Hospital hosted it’s annual Christmas Fair.

Fair goers descended on Victoria University’s Werribee campus in droves on Saturday for the event, which included carnival rides, an animal farm, food trucks, gift stalls, children’s activities and a visit from Santa.

Proceeds raised from the event will go towards supporting the hospital’s $87 million expansion.

The state government has pledged $85 million towards the upgrade, which will include eight critical care beds, 56 inpatient beds and six operating theatres.

Werribee Hospital Foundation is working with Mercy Health to raise an additional $2 million for the expansion.
