This Saturday, the Werribee Concert Band promises to take you all over the world.
This year’s theme for the band’s annual mid-year concert is “Around the World – A Musical Journey”.
Member David Garrick said the band would play music from Ireland, South Korea, Russia, Egypt and other countries.
“We’re taking the audience on a trip to countries all across the globe,” he said.
The band originated in the 1920s, beginning as the Werribee Brass Band. Later it became the Werribee Municipal Band and, finally, the Werribee Concert Band.
Local singer Shelley Rodriguez will join the band for the show.
Tickets cost $20 for adults, $15 for concession and $10 for children and are available here
