If you love to sing but you are often politely advised by family and friends to keep it to the professionals, there’s a new choir in the municipality, and it might be perfect for you.
With One Voice Wyndham musical director Steph Payne says being the best singer isn’t a prerequisite, but enjoying music and wanting to be part of a group is.
“The beautiful thing about With One Voice choirs is they’re a little bit different to many choirs, in that they are all about accessibility and diversity and inclusiveness,” Ms Payne said.
“All the lyrics are projected onto the wall so nobody needs to know how to read music or anything, they don’t need to have had any experience, they need to be keen to sing and meet people.
“The fee structure is varied for everyone’s income levels so that it’s accessible for everyone.”
Sessions are held at Dianella Community Centre at 7pm every Tuesday, followed by a cuppa.
