Teens charged after robberies

Police have charged two teenage girls following a series of robberies in the Werribee area yesterday.

A 14-year-old girl was at a fast food restaurant on Synnot Street about 2.45pm when she was approached by two girls who threatened her and forcibly removed her shoes.

About 3.35pm, two girls allegedly assaulted a 16-year-old girl and stole her phone, airpods and bag at the Werribee train station.

Two teenagers were arrested a short time later on a bus at the Pacific Werribee shopping centre.

A 15-year-old Tarneit girl has been charged with nine offences including robbery, affray, assault in company, unlawful assault, recklessly cause injury, intentionally cause injury and commit indictable offences whilst on bail. She was remanded in custody to appear at a childrens court, at a later date.

A 13-year-old Deer Park girl was charged with six offences, including robbery, affray, assault in company, unlawful assault, recklessly cause injury, intentionally cause injury. She was bailed to appear at a childrens court, at a later date.
