Five teenage boys, including two from Wyndham, have been arrested and charged following a series of armed robberies in the north-west earlier this month.
Last Wednesday (August 2), three teenagers were arrested by Brimbank Embona detectives.
A 16-year-old Wyndham Vale boy was later charged with two counts of armed robbery, one count of theft, four counts of theft of motor vehicle, one count of aggravated burglary, one count of attempted theft of a motor vehicle and one count of committing an indictable offence whilst on bail.
A Tarneit boy, also 16, was charged with one count of armed robbery, one count of theft, four counts of theft of motor vehicle, one count of aggravated burglary, one count of attempted theft of a motor vehicle and one count of committing an indictable offence whilst on bail.
A 16-year-old Narre Warren South boy was charged with three counts of armed robbery, two counts of armed robbery, two counts of aggravated burglary, two counts of home invasion, two counts of theft, one count of burglary, 11 counts of driving at a dangerous speed, four counts of reckless conduct endangering life and seven counts of theft of motor vehicle.
All three teenagers appeared at a children’s court and were remanded in custody.
On Monday, police arrested a 15-year-old Burnside boy. He was later charged with three counts of armed robbery, two counts of aggravated burglary, two counts of home invasion and two counts of theft.
He appeared at a children’s court and was remanded in custody.
On Tuesday, a 16-year-old Mount Evelyn boy was remanded in custody after appearing before the children’s court charged with two counts of aggravated burglary, two counts of home invasion and two counts of theft.
