Wyndham Sharks ready to strike

Wyndham swimmers are set to make a splash at the national championships.

Six members of the Wyndham City Sharks are at the Hancock Prospecting Australian Swimming Championships in Adelaide which winds up on Friday.

Chloe Maczka, Sophia Potter, Emmason McCurley, Sean Gatt, Josh Patterson and Tian Bedian-Kulkens, all aged between 13 and 17, will take on the country’s best swimmers across all events.

Head coach Peter Botheras said he had high hopes for the team.

“We always hope that they swim their personal best,” Mr Botheras said.

“We do hope to make the finals.”

There will be no rest for the Sharks, with swimmers heading straight into the Australian Open Championships, also in Adelaide, between April 15 and 20.
