From music concerts and outdoor cinema to free fitness classes and kids workshops, Werribee City Centre’s Pop-Up Park is buzzing this summer.

The free Wyndham City program in Station Place includes more than 100 activities and events – and all are free to attend.

Along with the concerts, movies, markets and street food, there’s a great line-up of fitness sessions that includes lawn bowls, pilates, tai chi, come-and-try sports and football skills for kids, with a mix of morning, lunch and after-school sessions.

On Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, enjoy free lunchtime music, with Tuesdaylele, Thursday Thrashdance and Station Place Sessions providing perfect opportunities to pull up a deckchair and enjoy a leisurely lunch in the park.

Plus there’s chess workshops, craft activities, green living workshops and art classes for kids.

This summer, Wyndham Cultural Centre has a great new line-up of shows, including a very special Italian Opera Gala to open the season on February 9, with Melbourne Opera’s 40-piece orchestra on board.

With classic Italian arias and ensembles from the likes of Madame Butterfly, Tosca and La Boheme, this is a great way to treat those music-lovers in your life and the perfect introduction to opera if you’ve never experienced it before.

Tickets are still available at wyncc.com.au – but you’ll need to be quick!

Star of The Weekly and host of Hard Quiz, comedian Tom Gleeson, will bring his latest show, Joy, to Wyndham Cultural Centre on February 23, followed by the hilarious Candy B with Australian Booty on March 22.

Tickets are also on sale for Wyndham Cultural Centre’s new Sunday Movie Club – pairing cult cinema classics such as The Rocky Horror Picture Show and The Sound of Music with an everchanging cast of live performers, cabaret misfits and madcap MCs.
