A Werribee shopper has won more than half a million dollars after taking out a TattsLotto division one prize.

The winner, who has chosen to remain anonymous, held one of eight division one-winning entries in the July 7 TattsLotto draw, winning division three six times on a system 7 ticket to take home a total of $509,469.82.

The winning entry was purchased at the Werribee Newsagency in Station Place.

It took the winner five days to claim the prize, with the ticket not registered to a Tatts Card.

Werribee Newsagency manager Hayley Murphy said the win had created a buzz in the store.

“Everyone has been talking about it and we’ve had lots of customers in store asking questions and checking their tickets,” Ms Murphy said.

“The staff are so bubbly and excited to have sold a division one-winning entry as we haven’t sold one in a while.

“We’ve sold a few division one-winning entries in the past, but I would say it has been about six years since the last one.

“This one has definitely broken the drought and we are so pleased our store has sold one.”
