Sports of all sorts will feature in the upcoming Wyndham Healthy and Active Expo.
Eighty different activities – from hip-hop dancing to BMX riding – will be available for residents to try free of charge, between Saturday, September 16 and Sunday, October 8.
Wyndham’s sports development portfolio holder Cr Peter Maynard said the expo was a great opportunity for people who wanted to discover a fun way to boost their fitness.
“Now in its third year, the Healthy and Active Expo showcases local sports and fitness activities in Wyndham with free events, clinics and come and try sessions for our residents of all ages,” Cr Maynard said. “The three-week expo is jam-packed with plenty on offer – from netball, cricket and golf, to boxing, dance and yoga.”
Cr Maynard said gymnastics for pregnant women and tenpin bowling for those with a disability would also be on offer.
He encouraged residents to head down to the AquaPulse open day on Saturday, September 16 or Eagle Stadium’s open day on Sunday, September 24.
Two Shop Like a Nutritionist sessions will also be held at the Pacific Werribee Woolworths store on September 16.
