Song celebrates The Ride of life, rollercoasters and fairs

Point Cook singer and songwriter Sandee Facy has released a new single, titled The Ride.

Filled with summer vibes, The Ride, reminisces about days at the fair or local show, riding the rollercoaster.

From the excitement of young love, through the twists and turns of a relationship and their lives together, The Ride uses the metaphor of a rollercoaster to reflect on a life well-lived.

The single also holds an important message.

“When it comes to love and life, sometimes it’s best to just let go and enjoy The Ride – with some wicked banjo of course,” Ms Facy said.

“Life is all about the peaks and valleys, twists and turns – I want this song to give people hope.

“While growing up, I’ve always loved being in the front seat of the rollercoaster because I absolutely love that climb and then that first drop.”

Ms Facy said she wants listeners to be excited when they hear the song.

“I want to put them in a great mood because we’ve all been through a lot and this is a song that gives hope and leaves people feeling happy,” she said.

“There is nothing better than to have people sing along and enjoy the ride.”

Ms Facy, who is originally from the United States, co-wrote The Ride with long-time friend, Michael Saleta, who is an Australian songwriter now living in Nashville.

The single was produced by Michael Zammit.
