Students in Werribee will soon have access to first-rate classrooms and facilities, with work under way to upgrade Werribee Secondary College.

Member for Werribee Tim Pallas announced Pro Start Constructions had been appointed to build the

school’s $723,500 upgrade, which he says will help it deliver a 21st century education.

“These local upgrades are part of the school building boom that is happening right across Victoria,” Mr Pallas said.

“Upgrading Werribee Secondary College will give local students access to great classrooms and facilities –

because you can’t deliver a first-rate education in second-rate classrooms.”

The project will see an upgrade to Werribee Secondary School’s performing arts theatre to enable it to

function as a fully operational, small-scale theatre for school and community use. The theatre upgrade

includes a raised stage, technician areas, refurbished seating, new lights, mixer and audio equipment,

installing a lighting bar and lighting equipment, and cosmetic upgrades to the foyer.
