Residents plant trees for Reconciliation day

Despite the chill in the air, crowds gathered along the Werribee River on Saturday, May 28 to plant about 2000 trees for Reconciliation week.

National Reconciliation Week (NRW) is a time for Australians to learn about Indigenous history and culture and to explore how we can achieve reconciliation.

The day started with a smoking ceremony by Traditional Owners and the hard work of all participants was celebrated with a BBQ lunch.
