Residents and families enjoy Christmas lunch at Mercy Place

Residents at Mercy Place Wyndham enjoyed a special Christmas lunch recently, with family members, local musicians and Santa himself, joining in the festive fun.

Held on Tuesday December 12, Mercy Place Wyndham Lifestyle Coordinator Nadeera Amarasinghe said the lunch was important part of the home’s calendar.

“Each year, our resident and family Christmas lunch is a wonderful event that brings all of our loved ones together,” Ms Amarasinghe said.

“ This year’s event was particularly special with a performance from local Christmas carolers who spread the festive spirit and encouraged families and residents to join in the celebrations.”

Mercy Place Wyndham Service Manager, Navdeep Sidhu, said it was an honour to serve residents and their families on the day.

“There is no better way to celebrate Christmas than by coming together with your family. We are so happy our residents enjoyed a great day with their loved ones, and with good food and a visit from Santa! It was a memorable event.”

Mercy Place Wyndham resident David Tierney certainly appreciated their efforts.

“Christmas is such a special time of year for me and my family, and this event was a beautiful way for us to come together and celebrate a time that means so much to us.”
