Project boosts local jobs

Construction has commenced on the fourth apartment building in Williams Landing.

Developer Cedar Woods recently announced that once complete, the five-storey building on Overton Road will include 69 apartments, a gym and a communal rooftop recreation area for residents.

Figurehead Construction has been appointed as the builder for the Lincoln Apartments project, which was designed by DKO Architecture.

Cedar Woods development director Callum Knight joined Figurehead managing director Joe Grasso on-site for the project’s official sod-turning ceremony just before the latest Victorian lockdown began.

“Our Lincoln project has started construction at an exciting time as we continue to create local jobs and support the construction industry,” Mr Knight said.

“We have developed Lincoln as a project that offers everything residents could possibly need.

“Being located within the town centre and having access to in-building amenity, purchasers are taking advantage of the value on offer.”

Construction of the Lincoln Apartments is slated to finish in mid-2022.

Following the sod-turning of Lincoln Apartments, Cedar Woods launched another series of boutique apartments at a separate site.

The apartments are located on the fringes of the Williams Landing town centre on Woodbury Street.

Forty per cent of the first lot of 19 boutique apartments, named Bennett’s Row, sold within the first week of being on the market.

A third Williams Landing apartment development, Hewitt Apartments, is expected to launch within coming weeks.
