Four Point Cook businesses have been nominated for a national industry award, which aims to recognise the best activity providers for children and families in Australia.

Carlo Chincarini from Fit-Kicks Sport Programs, Courtney Jeffkins from Kangatraining Australia, Claire Greenwood from Paint My Party and Freya Hegemann and Jo Goldstone from Messy Monsters Sensory Play all said they were delighted that their businesses had been nominated for the What’s On 4 Kids Awards, which are run by the What’s On 4 online directory.

The general public can nominate businesses for the awards and also vote in the competition.

Voting for the awards will close on Sunday June 10, with the awards ceremony to be held on August 18 in Brisbane.

Fit-Kicks Sport Programs has been nominated in six categories of the awards, Messy Monsters Sensory Play for best new kids activity (under 2 years), Kangatraining Australia for best national pre/postnatal activity or baby class (0-2 years) and Paint My Party for best kids party entertainer.

“We used to think it was just big programs that were able to go for these awards, it’s a great feeling as a small company to be nominated and be recognised,” Mr Chincarini said.

Ms Goldstone said it would be wonderful if all the four businesses made it into the next round of the competition.

“It would be great to have many Point Cook businesses represented in the final,” she said.
