Thirty fire-fighters attended a blaze at a Point Cook house on Sunday.

Crews from Fire Rescue Victoria (FRV), including an aerial unit, arrived at the Williams Bay Walk property just before 5pm.

According to a statement from FRV, the first fire-fighters on the scene found the house’s second storey “totally involved in fire”.

The roof of the house collapsed, causing all fire-fighting activities to be conducted externally.

The only person in the house escaped before FRV appliances arrived.

The person assessed by Ambulance Victoria paramedics for possible shock.

No other injuries were reported.

The fire was declared under control just after 5.30pm.

While the fire has not been deemed suspicious, its cause remains unknown and police are assisting FRV with their inquiries.
