Children and staff at the Guardian Early Learning Centre Point Cook dressed in their best pyjamas for a charity fundraiser last month.
On July 20, the centre celebrated National Pyjama Day, to help The Pyjama Foundation support children in foster care.
The centre’s assistant manager, Kim Margin, said the centre raised more than $110 on the day.
“National Pyjama Day provided a relaxed an fun atmosphere throughout the centre as everyone was comfortable and warm having fun in their pyjamas, as well as being able to support a great cause,” she said.
“As well as the centre dressing in pyjamas, our rooms have engaged in a variety of experiences including Teddy Bears Picnic, a sewing experience, making and sewing pyjamas onto their baby dolls and teddy bears.”
On National Pyjama Day, the children also threw a farewell party for their kindergarten teacher Lisa, who was leaving the centre after working there for almost four years.
