Pair arrested after chase

Two men were arrested on Saturday, following a police chase from Little River to Corio in the early hours of Saturday.

Police were called to a ram-raid at a general store in Little River about 3.30am on Saturday.

Shortly afterwards, there were reports of a burglary at a nearby hotel.

The Police Air Wing assisted local police as they followed a Mazda from Little River to Fiona Avenue, Corio where two men fled the vehicle just after 4am.

A 29-year-old man and a 26-year-old man, both from Corio, were arrested by the Dog Squad about 5.15am.

Police alleged the men were involved in an attempted burglary at an industrial premises in Corio on Saturday morning and a number of other incidents in the Geelong area last month.

Both men are assisting detectives with their inquiries.
