Children will be able to go wild at a new park in Wyndham, which has been inspired by the Werribee Open Range Zoo.

The Safari Park has been built as a collaboration between the developers of the Cornerstone Werribee estate, Peet, and the popular website Mamma Knows West.

The park includes giant animal sculptures, a colourful safari-inspired playground and picnic areas.

Peet chief executive and managing director Brendan Gore said the park, in Grandvista Boulevard, Werribee, has a climbable rhinoceros sculpture and a large giraffe swing.

“The new Safari Park at Cornerstone is the result of a very innovative design process and the result is a fantastic new recreational space that will be enjoyed by the community for many years to come,” Mr Gore said.

The Safari Park will be launched at a special event at the park on Saturday, September 15 between 1pm and 3pm.

The launch will include free food, drinks and safari-inspired activities.
