Noise alert for RAAF base

The Department of Defence has issued a local noise alert for flying activities scheduled to take place above the RAAF base in Point Cook tomorrow.

The RAAF aerobatics display team, the Roulettes, will conduct a flying display above the base between 1.30-2pm for an Air Force internal review.

The the base will not be open to the public during this time.

Up to six PC-21 aircraft will engage in flying activities outside of the normal flying operations for the RAAF Point Cook, with aircraft exercising low-level and aerobatic maneuvers.

The planned flying session is subject to change, including cancellation at short notice, due to variables including air traffic control requirements, weather and other aviation considerations.
