Werribee’s biggest street festival is set to return to Watton Street this month.
Weerama will celebrate the big 4-0 this year with a jam-packed festival on Sunday, March 18, from 10am-4pm.
Festival president Marcel Mahfoud said Weerama-goers can enjoy market stalls, rides, food trucks and the annual Watton Street parade, which kicks off at 11am.
It’s the first year in many years that the Weerama committee has enjoyed a drama-free lead-up to the event. The festival was cancelled in 2015 when the council refused grant money to fix committee governance issues, including administration and bookkeeping.
