Wyndham’s Neighbourhood House Week kicked off on Monday, with a party at Tarneit’s Penrose Promenade Community Centre.

The party was aimed at seniors who were encouraged to relive the games and activities of their youth.

Members of Multiculticultural Women’s Victoria’s Kitchen West group and Ladies Group 60 made up most of the partygoers.

Scone making at Iramoo Community Centre in Wyndham Vale and a scavenger hunt at the Quantin Binnah Community Centre in Werribee, were among the other events that took place on the opening day.

A range of free and low cost activities are on offer at community centres and neighbourhood houses across Wyndham until Sunday, May 15.
