Images of passengers aboard a moving train have won the annual Wyndham Art Prize competition.
Sydney artist Tina Barahanos has won $10,000 in prize money for the piece, titled Commuter.
Ms Barahanos said the winning snaps were taken from her car window.
“Photography allows me to capture the fleeting moment, and then using a computer editing program, create from fragments of various photos, a new picture that translates what I was feeling about the scene,” Ms Barahanos said.
Wyndham council’s arts, culture and heritage portfolio holder Cr Tony Hooper said 130 artists entered this year’s Wyndham Art Prize.
The works will be on display at the Wyndham Art Gallery in Werribee until June 11.
