Manor Lakes will be bathed in a sea of blue, white and yellow lanterns next month when Wyndham residents take a twilight stroll in the name of charity.
Paul Goney and Sunita Katikala are the driving forces behind the Manor Lakes Light the Night walk, which will be held along Dalrymple Boulevard from 6pm on October 7 to raise money for the Leukaemia Foundation.
Participants will carry coloured lanterns – gold to remember someone, white for their own journey or blue to show they care.
Mr Goney was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia in July, 2011, and underwent a bone marrow transplant and three rounds of chemotherapy before getting the all-clear.
Mr Goney is keen to give back to the foundation that helped him when he was sick. He raised $5000 hosting his first Light the Night event last year.
