Detectives are investigating an aggravated burglary in Wyndham Vale overnight which resulted in a man being taken to hospital.
Investigators have been told a number of men forced their way into a home on Ribblesdale Avenue before a confrontation occurred with one of the residents about 2.20am.
The 45-year-old victim was taken to hospital with suspected serious injuries following the incident.
Police are investigating whether the parties involved are known to each other.
