Man crushed to death at Truganina site

A construction worker was found crushed to death at a site in Truganina, following an incident involving a boom lift.

It is understood the 31-year-old man was working alone at a construction site, and was operating the elevated work platform about 5pm on January 4, when he was crushed between the machine and a roof purlin.

The man was found by colleagues the following morning.

His death is the first workplace fatality of 2023 and WorkSafe is investigating.
