A man in his 50s is in a critical condition after a stabbing attack in a Werribee driveway this morning.
Investigators were called to Kookaburra Avenue after receiving reports a man had been stabbed a number of times about 11.30am.
It is believed several unknown offenders attended the address, stabbing the victim and assaulting him in a driveway before fleeing the scene.
Police are currently on the scene investigating and have closed off part of Kookaburra Avenue.
Paramedics treated the victim, believed to be a man aged in his 50s, with “serious upper body injuries” and he was taken to Royal Melbourne Hospital in a critical condition, an ambulance spokeswoman said.
