Lucky win at Tarneit newsagency

A lucky customer of Wyndham Village Lotto & News in Tarneit is set to receive $482,000 after a division one Tattlotto win on Saturday.

Wyndham Village Lotto & News owner Mahesh Thakur said it was “exciting” and “fantastic” to hear the news, especially in the wake of so many people being affected by the pandemic last year,

Mr Thakur said the customer who won the money purchased a ticket in Tattlotto draw number 4157, which was drawn at the weekend.

In September last year, Wyndham Village Lotto & News was one of just three Victorian outlets to sell tickets in two separate syndicates, which both won division one prizes in a Saturday $20 million Tattslotto draw.

Seventy-eight members of the first syndicate took home more than $75,315 each.

The second syndicate, which has 20 members, won each player more than $207,598.

Wyndham Village Lotto & News sold two shares in this particular syndicate.

Mr Thakur said Wyndham Village Lotto & News has recorded around 15 division one wins over the past six years.

“We are a very lucky store,” he said.

He said the shop has also recently recorded some division two wins.
