Lost in fun and music

The Lost Lands Festival will be held at Werribee Park next month.

The family-friendly arts and music festival will be held from November 1-3 in the parklands surrounding the Werribee Mansion.

Activities will include music, circus, theatre, comedy, installations and creative workshops.

Acts such as Gomez, Regurgitator, Vika & Linda Bull, Baker Boy, Sampa The Great, Shonen Knife and Holy Holy will play across the three days of the event.

Festival co-founder Simon Daly said: “We’re thrilled to offer a unique festival experience, where families can dance, unleash their creativity and enjoy breathtaking performances together”.

“We’re also launching an incredibly fun participatory music project that’s really inclusive.”

Called The Big Lost Band, it will involve festival attendees and musicians coming together to perform a medley on Sunday, November 3 at 3pm. The songs to be performed include Paul Kelly and Kev Carmody’s From Little Things Big Things Grow, Spiderbait’s Calypso and Thunderstruck by AC/DC.

Families who attend the festival will be able to take part in rehearsals and workshops before the big performance.

Tickets: One day pass, adult $98; child $30. Two day pass: Adult $180, child $40. Two days camping: Adult $190, child $45. Three days camping: Adult $220, child $50.
