Hoppers Crossing teen charged

A 13-year-old boy from Hoppers Crossing is among six youths who have been charged in relation to the fatal stabbing of a teenager in Deer Park yesterday.

Emergency services were called to an incident at the Brimbank Shopping Centre on Neale Road shortly after 4pm on Tuesday, June 16.

A 15-year-old Deer Park boy was stabbed during the incident and died at the scene.

Six males were arrested a short time later and have been interviewed by police.

Apart from the 13-year-old Hoppers Crossing boy, two 14-year-old St Albans boys; a 15-year-old Deer Park boy; a 15-year-old St Albans boy; and a 16-year-old St Albans boy have been charged.

All six have been charged with violent disorder and affray.

The investigation into the incident remains ongoing and police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident or has CCTV or dash-cam footage to come forward.
