The Hoppers Club chief executive Michael Lewis has been recognised for his dedication to the role, with a state-wide award.
Last month, Mr Lewis was named Club Manager of the Year at the Community Clubs Victoria annual awards night in Melbourne.
Mr Lewis started at the Hoppers Club four years ago, but became the chief executive after impressing the board with his excellent performance.
The Hoppers Club company secretary Gary Jose said Mr Lewis had helped the club to achieve a better financial position, connect with business partners and improve its food service.
In addition, Mr Lewis has managed several small renovations at the club, including its TAB and sport bar area.
“This resulted in the club being awarded ‘Best club refurbishment’ at the Community Clubs Victoria awards night,” Mr Jose said.
