Youngsters at Wilmington Kindergarten at Hoppers Crossing donned their favourite AFL, basketball, soccer and rugby teams’ colours last week as part of a health and fitness day.
The children, aged between three and five, were joined by some Western Bulldogs’ heroes, before tucking into a healthy lunch.
Kindergarten assistant Kristen Hill said the kids have been learning about healthy lifestyles and the importance of play.
“We asked them to bring a piece of fruit each and we made a fruit salad, and the kids had a good run around with our local footy players.
We’ve been promoting health and fitness, not only with the children but within our community as well. The support from parents has been lovely.”
